Kicking off this busy summer schedule – Massive queues to buy 2024/25 Newcastle United home shirt

Queues formed in the early hours of Friday ahead of the 2024/25 Newcastle United home shirt going on sale.

The temporary club shop opposite the Gallowgate end eventually opening at 8am to deal with the crowds that had gathered, with those queueing snaking around the streets and down beyond the St James’ Park metro station.

Luckily the weather was behaving and so the happy punters waited patiently to get their hands on the new strip.

The reaction to the new 2024/25 Newcastle United home shirt has appeared to be universally positive.

As NUFC pick up once again their relationship with Adidas that Mike Ashley ended 14 years ago, having lasted 1995-2010.

A lot of important dates for Newcastle United fans coming up this summer, so we have compiled the following calendar to watch out for:

Friday 7 June 2024 – Launch of first replica kit of new Adidas deal, the 2024/25 Newcastle United home shirt.

Friday 7 June 2024 – England play Iceland in their final warm up match for the Euros, with both Kieran Trippier and Anthony Gordon potentially playing in this Wembley friendly. Both NUFC players named in the final 26 man squad for Germany.

Friday 14 June 2024 – European Championship 2024 finals  in Germany kick-off, with numerous NUFC players involved.

Friday 14 June 2024 – Summer transfer window opens.

Wednesday 31 July – Urawa Red Diamonds v Newcastle United friendly in Japan, playing at the 62,000 capacity Saitama Stadium, the largest football-specific stadium in Japan.

Saturday 17 August 2024 – Weekend that 2024/25 Premier League season kicks off.

Friday 30 August 2024 – Summer transfer window closes at 11pm.

Wednesday 1 January 2025 – Winter transfer window opens.

Monday 3 February 2025 – Winter transfer window closes at 11pm.

Sunday 25 May 2025 – The final round of 2024/25 Premier League fixtures will be played.
