Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has opened the door for Sven-Goran Eriksson to spend a day as Liverpool manager.
The former England manager revealed earlier this month that he had, in the most optimistic case, around a year to live. He is in fact the victim of incurable pancreatic cancer. During a series of television interviews, the Swedish tactician revealed his love for Liverpool. He had always wanted to be the coach of the Mersey team and Jurgen Klopp is ready to give up his position to him.
Klopp’s very nice gesture for Eriksson
“ I don’t know him, unfortunately not”declared Klopp to the English media. “I know him without knowing him, we have never met. Yes, it was obviously very emotional news when we heard it. I first heard about his admiration or love for Liverpool and that he was a lifelong fan. I heard about the legends match and stuff like that. I am not in charge of this and therefore cannot say anything about it. The only thing I can say is that he is welcome here and can sit in my place in my office and do my work for a day if he wants. There is no problem “.
