Illegal voter activity is on the rise as the hours dwindle into the 2024 presidential election. Ballot boxes are being set on fire as polling workers are being harassed.

Now, The Shade Room’s News Correspondent A.B. Burns-Tucker is sharing what you need to know as you head to the polls and how you can ensure your vote gets counted on ‘TSR Newz.’

Here’s What You Need To Know About Voting In The 2024 Election

According to Burns-Tucker, even if you have been to jail or been charged with a felony, you still may be eligible to vote in the 2024 election. Per the host, 23 states in the country have restored voting rights for former felons. Additionally, 15 states restore voting rights after sentences (including probation and parole) are completed.

Furthermore, campaigning is not allowed within 100 feet of a polling location. However, campaigning is not allowed within 25 feet of a polling site if the location is in Connecticut. This means that campaign apparel — such as sloganed T-shirts or hats — cannot be worn to a polling location, and picketed signs or influence of any kind is not permitted. Lastly, Burns noted that intimidation of any kind is also not welcome at polling sites.

The host adds that if you do peep any illegal activity at your voting location, you should immediately report it to the polling workers.

More Things To Keep In Mind

However, that’s not all voters should be mindful of when they head to the polls on election day.
