The New Day is widely recognized as one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history, and their achievements make it easy to understand why. However, some fans still wonder if they will ever add a new member. Now, Kofi Kingston has finally set the record straight on the group adding another member.
The New Day originally debuted as heels but turned into babyfaces due to their growing popularity. Before that, none of the members had experienced a significant run in WWE.
While speaking to Sportskeeda’s Emily Mae during recent interview, Kofi Kingston was asked if there is a chance of The New Day getting a fourth member somewhere down the line.
Kofi Kingston believed that the essence of the New Day would change if the group expanded in numbers, and he uniquely explained his reasoning.
“So, I’ve said this, and I’m firm in my stance. If you add something to the New Day, it is no longer the New Day. For example, if you have a tomato soup and you add some cream to it, it is no longer tomato soup; it is a tomato bisque. So, it’s a little bit different. It’s not going to be the same, you know?”
The New Day previously reunited during the Drew Barrymore show as well. We will have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for the group in the coming weeks, as fans continue to love them no matter what.
