If PSG has decided to keep Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani despite the hoped-for recruitment of Victor Osimhen, the French international mentioned is indeed in the sights of a big Spanish club.
After a disappointing season at PSG with 9 goals and 6 assists in 40 matches in all competitions, while he cost 90 million euros a year ago, Randal Kolo Muani is unlikely to change his tune. Luis Campos, the head of the sports sector of the Rouge et Bleu (officially as sports advisor to President Nasser al-Khelaïfi), has decided to keep “RKM” and Gonçalo Ramos, the other center forward recruited at a high price in 2023, despite the recruitment in preparation of Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
Kolo Muani would however be in the sights of Atlético de Madrid, according to As. The Colchoneros have ultimately failed to recruit Artem Dovbyk, the Ukrainian striker from Girona, despite an offer of 40 million euros accepted by the Catalan club. The player clearly prefers to join AS Roma! Diego Simeone’s club is therefore turning to other attackers to accompany Antoine Griezmann and, in addition to Randal Kolo Muani, the short-list includes Alexander Sorloth (Villarreal, Pichichi of La Liga ahead of Dovbyk), Viktor Gyökeres (the Sporting striker, once in PSG’s sights) and Jonathan David (on the way out of Losc).
Kolo Muani too expensive
Atletico could have a hard time getting into the fight to sign Jonathan David as English clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal, are said to be interested in the Canadian striker who has one year left on his contract at Lille. Benjamin Sesko and Lois Openda, the two Leipzig strikers, or Santiago Giménez, the Mexican striker from Feyenoord, are also said to be listed by Atletico, as is Dusan Vlahovic.
The Madrid club does not have more than 50 million euros to spend to recruit a new striker (after the departure of Alvaro Morata to AC Milan). The arrival of Kolo Muani therefore seems quite understood. A one-season loan, in order to revive the 25-year-old French international, revealed at FC Nantes, seems unlikely.
