Bayern Munich’s new coach has responded to reports that he had a falling out with midfielder Leon Goretzka.

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has tried to calm the situation around Leon Goretzka. According to him, there is no unease involving the player.

The German midfielder is no longer in the good books of the Bavarian club. The one who was announced at Manchester United and West Ham during the off-season has not appeared in any match since the start of the season. A situation which suggested a break-up between him and his coach.

Kompany counts on Goretzka

Kompany told reporters this week: “He is important to us and will continue to be. I only have players who want to play and who accept the competition for places.”

While assuring that there was no problem, the Belgian technician indicated that it should not be made a big deal about Goretzka.

“At Bayern it’s always easy to talk about individual players, but I want to talk about the team, that’s what’s important to me. He’s very important in this team. He’s doing well, but so are others.”
