The AEW International Championship will be defended at Maple Leaf Pro Forged in Excellence.
Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling confirmed that Konosuke Takeshita will defend the title against Josh Alexander on the second night of their Forged in Excellence event on October 20.
Takeshita won the AEW International Championship at AEW WrestleDream on October 12. There, he defeated reigning champion Will Ospreay and Ricochet in a three-way match. Several other AEW wrestlers, including Athena, Rocky Romero, and QT Marshall, will also be in action at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Forged in Excellence.
Alexander is a former TNA World Champion and X-Division Champion, among other accolades.
