Konosuke Takeshita will officially compete at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19.
NJPW confirmed that Konosuke Takeshita will challenge Shingo Takagi for the NEVER Openweight Championship at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19. If Takeshita is still the AEW International Champion by then, the match will also be for Takeshita’s title. The winner of the match will defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Tomohiro Ishii at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty.
The match was set up at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed. After Takeshita retained his title against TJP, he issued an open challenge. Takagi accepted and expressed his interest in a Title vs. Title match.
