Ahead of AEW WrestleDream, Kota Ibushi provides an important update on Kenny Omega and when we might see him return.

Kenny Omega has been sidelined from in-ring competition for almost a year following a diagnosis of diverticulitis. Omega underwent surgery earlier this year to repair things, but a timetable for his return to AEW was unknown.

All Elite Wrestling‘s Kota Ibushi was a recent guest on Yuji Nagata’s YouTube channel. When asked about the status of Kenny Omega, Ibushi revealed that he believes Omega will require another two or three months before he’s able to return to the squared circle.

Ibushi also noted that Omega is still having trouble with certain things and the former AEW World Champion isn’t certain that he’ll be able to return at all.

It’s worth noting that Omega has recently teased in a sitdown discussion with Hiroshi Tanahashi that he wants to team with him to take on the Young Bucks at Wrestle Dynasty in January.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for the latest on Kenny Omega’s in-ring status as it becomes available.
