Kouki Amarei Suffers Torn ACL, Looks To Return By May

GHC Women’s Champion Kouki Amarei suffered a torn ACL injury at Marigold First Dream, putting her out of action for the time being.

Marigold held an online press conference on Wrestle Universe’s YouTube channel for their upcoming Korakuen Hall show on January 19. Kouki Amarei opened the press conference to address her condition following her first defense of the GHC Women’s Championship at First Dream 2025.

The champion appeared at the event in crutches, revealing that she had torn her left ACL in the title match against Chika Goto. She stated that she will be undergoing surgery this January 16th prior to undergoing PRP treatment. Kouki Amarei then addressed the status of her GHC Women’s Championship saying that she does not wish to relinquish the belt due to her inactivity. She also wishes to have a rematch with Chika Goto for the championship upon her return.
