Marigold‘s Kouki Amarei outlasted ten other competitors to become the inaugural GHC Women’s Champion in NOAH.
NOAH held a 10-Woman Rumble to crown their first GHC Women’s Champion at their MONDAY MAGIC Autumn Episode 3 show on Monday, November 11. No entrants were announced prior to the match, further adding the element of surprise to the audience’s excitement.
Every couple of minutes, a new competitor emerged from the entrance ramp to participate in the match. This system repeated until all ten women have successfully entered the ring.
As NOAH is an all-men’s promotion, most of the competitors came from partner women’s wrestling promotions such as Marigold and Marvelous. The Great Sakuya and Sadie Gibbs started the match by entering at the No. 1 and 2 spots, respectively. Following them, in order, were Bozilla, Takumi Iroha, Miku Aono, Miyuki Takase, Nightshade, Kouki Amarei, Yuu, and Utami Hayashishita.
Not a single elimination took place until all ten women entered the match. Despite the lineup being complete, the screen displayed yet another countdown for a surprise eleventh entrant. Joshi puroresu legend Chigusa Nagayo then emerged from the curtain to join the fray.
After a faceoff with Bozilla, Chigusa decided to climb over the top rope and make herself prone to elimination. The remaining competitors fought hard to become the last woman standing. The final two women in the ring were Sadie Gibbs and Kouki Amarei from Marigold. As Sadie tried to skin the cat and return to the ring, Kouki delivered the final blow to eliminate her opponent. Kouki Amarei officially became the inaugural GHC Women’s Champion.
Kouki then told the backstage media that she will use the belt as an opportunity to grow her career. As of the time of writing, she is only two years into wrestling. This is also her first championship in her run as an in-ring competitor.
