Kunal Kamra Reveals Rejecting Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss Offer; Says, “Would Rather Check Into A Mental Hospital”

Comedian Kunal Kamra revealed that he received an invitation to participate in the next season of Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss. He received an opportunity to appear on the reality TV show from a casting director who was in charge of the next season.

Rejecting the opportunity, Kunal Kamra stated that he would rather check himself into a “mental hospital” than compete on Bigg Boss. On his Instagram Stories, Kunal Kamra posted a screen grab of his conversation with the casting director. The message from the casting director read, “I am handling the casting for this season of Bigg Boss and your name came up as someone they might find interesting. I know it might not have been on your radar, but honestly, it’s such a mad platform to show your real vibe and win over a massive audience. What do you think? Should we talk about it?”

Responding to the message, Kunal wrote, “I would much rather check into a mental hospital…”

Kunal Kamra made the headlines for his parody of Eknath Shinde, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra and a leader of the Shiv Sena. Kunal Kamra was previously given temporary protection from arrest by the Madras High Court. The comic has ignored three Mumbai Police summonses. The comedian has petitioned the Bombay High Court to have the cases against him dismissed.

According to his appeal, the instances violate his fundamental rights to life under Article 21 of the Constitution and freedom of expression under Article 19.
