Kurt Angle thinks Roman Reigns is rightly considered one of the best in the world.

The Tribal Chief recovered from a difficult initial push to become a top star in the WWE. He spent 1316 days as Universal Champion, which is the fourth-longest reign in WWE history. Meanwhile, his nine WrestleMania main events earned him the record as main eventing WrestleMania more than anyone else in history. He overtook Hulk Hogan, following his two matches at WrestleMania 40.

This incredible run has caught the eye of Kurt Angle. The WWE Hall of Famer is very impressed at the wrestler Roman Reigns has become.

During a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest (H/T to F4WOnline for the transcription), Kurt Angle spoke about Roman Reigns’ current run in the WWE. The Olympic Gold medallist said that The Tribal Chief was “on fire” at the moment.

He added that Roman Reigns is one of the best in the world. Kurt Angle did note that Reigns was pushed too early in his career. However, he added that he’s followed through and impressed in the years since.

“I’m not going to lie to you, the kid’s been on fire,” Kurt Angle said. “I will say this: he earned every bit that he’s gotten. I do believe the company pushed him a little too early. The fans didn’t want to accept that, but he’s followed through. And he’s proven that he is one of the best in the world right now.”
