Kyle O’Reilly says his career and Adam Cole‘s career will always be intertwined somehow.
Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly previously teamed up in ROH. They also battled in some unforgettable matches. Likewise, they joined forces in NXT as part of the Undisputed Era. They later had a heated feud as well. O’Reilly signed with AEW not long after Cole made the jump in 2021, and they reunited there. However, they have yet to face each other in AEW.
Speaking with The Wrestling Classic, Kyle O’Reilly was asked whether he was looking forward to mixing it up with Adam Cole again.
“My career and Adam Cole’s career will always be somehow intertwined,” Kyle O’Reilly said. “I feel like we’re destined to do it forever, like Joker and The Batman, to some degree. So yeah, of course, that’s eventually going to happen.
“Unfortunately, he’s dealing with an ankle injury right now. But I’m sure once he gets back to 100%, which will hopefully be sooner than later, we’ll mix it up again to some degree, whether that’s as buddies or as enemies. I’m sure it’ll all happen in every possible scenario, between now and when we eventually retire.”
O’Reilly returned to AEW after a lengthy absence due to injury at AEW Revolution. He recently defeated Rocky Romero on the May 1 episode of AEW Rampage.
