Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has named the ‘great’ league he would love to play in after his spell at Real Madrid.

Mbappe, arguably the best striker in world football, is widely expected to join the Spanish giants this summer when his current PSG contract expires on June 30.

The 25-year-old has spent his entire career in French football so far and before deciding on Real Madrid, it was thought Mbappe was open to joining Arsenal.

The Gunners, though, did not want to break their entire wage structure to recruit World Cup winner Mbappe, who sees Thierry Henry as one of his biggest idols.

It remains to be seen if Mbappe will ever play for a Premier League club in England and those odds have somewhat dropped after his latest comments.

Mbappe has revealed his desire to play in Serie A, the Italian top-flight, so that he can play for AC Milan.

‘Italian football? You never know what happens’, Mbappe told Sky Sports at the European Globe Soccer Awards.

‘When I was a child I was a Milan fan and I always said that one day I would play for them.

‘I always watch Serie A and every Milan match because my family and I have always been fans.

‘Serie A is a great championship and next year they will also have more teams than any other in the Champions League, maybe I will face some of them and come there.’

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would love to bring Mbappe to the Emirates in the future.

‘When there is a player of that calibre we always have to be in the conversation,’ Arteta said in February.

‘If we want to be the best team, we are going to need the best talent and the best players, that is for sure.’
