Hopes were slim and now it’s over: Kylian Mbappé will not play with France at the Paris Olympic Games. Not wanting to release its players for the competition in France, Real Madrid will therefore deprive the captain of the French team of playing the Olympics at home. The player confirmed this, this Sunday, in a press conference.

“My club has a position that was very clear. I think I will not participate in the Olympic Games, that’s how it is. I arrive in a new team, it is not the best time to participate to start my adventure in September. But I will watch all the matches, I hope they will bring us the gold medal”, he explained to the media. This is another hard blow for Thierry Henry who will have to cope without Kylian Mbappé.
