‘l Remain Authentic Edo Deputy Governor’ – Omobayo

Marvellous Godwin Omobayo has reiterated his position as the authentic Deputy Governor of Edo State, calling for robust support for Governor Godwin Obaseki in the forthcoming September 21 governorship election.

Omobayo made this assertion on Wednesday during a solidarity visit by members of the Edo State Drivers Welfare Scheme to his office on Osadebey Avenue, Benin City.

The drivers, led by their state President, Comrade Lucky Ukponmwan, gathered in significant numbers, chanting songs of solidarity and pledging their unwavering support for Omobayo and Governor Obaseki.

“We are here to affirm our loyalty and support to the Deputy Governor and by extension, to Governor Obaseki,” Ukponmwan stated.

He lauded Omobayo’s role and assured that the group’s members were steadfastly behind the current administration, anticipating a victory in the upcoming election.

In response, Omobayo, visibly touched by the gesture, reaffirmed his commitment to his official duties. “I remain the authentic Deputy Governor of Edo State,” he said, expressing gratitude for the support and emphasizing the importance of unity and backing for the governor to ensure continued progress in the state.

In a related development, the Deputy Governor also received Osaigbovo lyoha, Chief of Staff to Edo State Government and Victor Enoghama, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters (Edo South).
