EXCLUSIVE: The end is near for NBC‘s La Brea.
Ahead of the series premiere Tuesday, Deadline has an exclusive look at a clip from the episode.
In the clip, Gavin (Eoin Macken) and Eve (Natalie Zea) hike the Hollywood Hills during the earlier days of their marriage to a tree that they’ve been visiting since their third date. Given the significance of the spot, Eve chooses it for yet another special moment — to tell Gavin that she’s pregnant.

La Brea ends Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT. In the finale, “The Road Home, Part 2,” Gavin leads the survivors in trying to find Eve, Josh and Riley. Will he be able to finally reunite his family and still find a way back to the lives they once knew?
La Brea, which received a straight-to-series order after production on its 2020 pilot was derailed by the pandemic, had a solid launch in fall 2021 with a 10-episode first season, earning a 14-episode second season renewal. It was then affected by the impending WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, leaving NBC to opt for a shorter season and releasing actors so they’d be open to take other jobs.
For Season 3, creator/showrunner David Appelbaum executive produces with Chris Hollier, Peter Traugott, Rachel Kaplan, Avi Nir and Alon Shtruzman. La Brea is produced by Universal Television and Australia’s Matchbox Pictures, both divisions of Universal Studio Group, in association with Keshet Studios.
The series follows an epic family adventure after a massive sinkhole opens in Los Angeles pulling people and buildings into a mysterious and dangerous primeval land where they have no choice but to band together to survive.
