Osasuna delivered a memorable performance, defeating Barcelona 4-2 in a thrilling La Liga match that saw Barca drop points for the first time this season.
Osasuna’s Borja Zaragoza was instrumental in their victory, netting one goal and assisting one, as the Pamplona-based team stunned their Catalan rivals.
The game started brightly for Osasuna, with Ante Budimir putting his team ahead in the 18th minute, sending the crowd into an early frenzy. Just ten minutes later, Zaragoza doubled the lead with a superb finish from Pablo Ibáñez’s assist, giving Osasuna a commanding 2-0 advantage at halftime.
Barcelona, known for their resilience, attempted to claw their way back into the game in the second half. Gavi Martin set up a goal for Pau Victor in the 53rd minute, bringing the score to 2-1.
However, Osasuna remained composed, with Ibáñez continuing to trouble Barcelona’s defense.
Osasuna’s pressure paid off when they were awarded a penalty in the 72nd minute. Budimir stepped up and calmly converted, restoring Osasuna’s two-goal cushion and making it 3-1. With the clock ticking, Barcelona struggled to find a way back into the game.
The match seemed out of reach for the Catalans when Adrián Bretones added a fourth for Osasuna in the 85th minute. But Barcelona’s young talent, Lamine Yamal, managed to pull one back just before full time in the 89th minute, with Ferran Torres providing the assist to make it 4-2.
Despite Barcelona’s best efforts, Osasuna held firm through the seven minutes of added time to seal a well-deserved victory.
