Vitor Roque has no future at FC Barcelona and has been made available for a transfer this summer, with the Catalan club eager to recoup the €30 million fee that was invested in his signing.

However, the exit operation is not going as smoothly as one would have expected as the teams interested are not entirely willing to meet the transfer fee demands.

Out with the old, in with the new

Now, SPORT has come forward with an update surrounding Roque and his suitors and why his departure is proving to be an issue for Barcelona.

As per the report, FC Porto, who had first shown the strongest interest in the 19-year-old, are no longer in the race and are instead looking for a player with more experience.

Everton were another team that were credited with interest in Roque, but negotiations with Barcelona were going nowhere after the Premier League club made a low offer and talks eventually withered out.

Now, though, a new suitor has emerged in the form of Real Sociedad as per the report. The Basque club are understood to have been offered a chance to sign Roque but there remain concerns about whether they can make an offer that would satisfy Barcelona.

With Sporting CP also seemingly interested, it appears that them and Real Sociedad might be the likeliest options for Roque if he leaves Barcelona before the transfer window closes.

Only time will tell whether he remains in Spain and moves outside the country but what is certain is that Roque does not have a place at Barcelona.
