The immediate future of Ansu Fati appears to lie away from FC Barcelona. The Catalan club aim to create salary space to bring in a new left-winger, making the departure of the La Masia graduate seem inevitable.
This was made evident when Fati was left out of the squad for the Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Athletic Club, despite the absence of both Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
Sevilla want Fati but deal unlikely
Sevilla has expressed strong interest in acquiring Ansu Fati on loan. However, the Andalusian club views the operation as extremely challenging, if not nearly impossible, unless circumstances change drastically, reports Mundo Deportivo.
Sevilla recently signed Ruben Vargas but still needs another standout attacking player, and Ansu fits the bill.
Manager Garcia Pimienta, who previously worked with Fati, is familiar with his abilities and highly enthusiastic about the prospect of coaching him again.

With the winter transfer window now open, the player has been presented with options for a loan or even a permanent transfer, and Sevilla has emerged as a potential destination.
While relations between the two clubs have been strained due to past disputes among their respective managements, this will not influence negotiations.
Sevilla are keen to move forward if Ansu agrees to the proposal, particularly a loan deal similar to his move to Brighton in 2023.
The major obstacle, however, is financial as the Andalusian side cannot afford his full salary and would require Barcelona to cover a portion of it to make the arrangement viable.
