The Lagos State Government has taken action against environmental violations by sealing four establishments, including a church and a fuel station, in different areas of the state.
This was revealed in a post shared by the State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, via his X handle on Sunday.

The move, according to the government, aims to address noise pollution and other environmental infractions, reinforcing its commitment to fostering a healthier and more sustainable environment for residents.

The establishments were shut down “for failing to adhere to environmental standards despite prior notices,” the commissioner revealed.
“This action is part of the agency’s ongoing commitment to creating a healthier and more sustainable environment for all Lagosians,” Wahab stated.

Wahab, who made this known in a statement, said Landcraft Industries Nigeria, situated at Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos, was sealed off due to gross environmental pollution, while the Word of Light Christ Ministry (Camp of Light), located at Oriokuta, also in Ikorodu, was sealed off due to noise pollution.
