10 Lala Kent is siding with Ally Lewber.
In an Amazon livestream on Thursday — about a week after James Kennedy was arrested for domestic violence — Lala was asked if she’s “spoken with James at all since the incident.” The Give Them Lala host candidly said:
“I have not.”
Oh, wow! While they’ve had a complicated relationship at times, the two have been besties in the last few years — but now she’s freezing him out?! That says a LOT!

Poignantly, the reality star revealed she HAS contacted Ally, sharing:
“I’ve spoken with Ally. I checked in on her and she wrote me a text back and that’s all I’m really gonna share on that topic.”
Despite being super close with James, later, Lala refused to share information about his romance with the astrologer, saying:
“When something happens in someone else’s relationship, you first and foremost want to make sure like, ‘Hey, how are you doing, are you okay? I’m here if you need me.’ But beyond that, I really don’t sit and think about anybody else’s relationship or have many thoughts about someone else’s relationship because I’m too caught up in what’s going on in my own household. So, it’s not to say that I don’t care, but like I said, when you get older and you have families, you’re kind of focused on, you know, what goes on under your roof, you know? So, I haven’t put much thought into it.”
Umm… WHAT?!
As always, someone’s well-being should come first, so we love that she took the time to check in with Ally. But are we really supposed to believe she doesn’t have any hot takes on this?? James was accused of domestic violence — that’s a big f**king deal! And this is Lala we’re talking about, she’s usually all for the drama. To claim she has more important things to worry about is kinda crazy.
We understand and respect that she’s trying to protect their privacy, but the least she could do is just condemn domestic violence — rather than make it seem like this isn’t worth anyone’s time. Besides, she went OFF about Scandoval for months, and that wasn’t happening under her roof. Just saying…
As for why she might be shutting him out, Lala has been very vocal about her sobriety, and from the sounds of it, it’s possible James hit a rough patch in his journey. Before getting arrested, he was reportedly acting “inebriated” at Kathy Hilton‘s holiday party. Earlier this week, he insisted he is now prioritizing his sobriety. Perhaps this is why they’re not talking? We could understand Lala needing space… but it also seems like maybe she knows more than she’s letting on ’cause she was quick to stand by Ally!
