Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho could be heading towards the exit after his shocking omission on Sunday.
The 20-year-old has been one of the club’s most exciting youngsters over the past few years. At the tender age of 18, he had already cemented himself as a regular starter in Erik ten Hag’s starting lineup.
However, the Argentine hasn’t been at his best this season, and his performances on the training field were deemed insufficient by Ruben Amorim who decided to drop him and fellow struggler Marcus Rashford from the matchday squad ahead of the weekend’s showdown against Manchester City. The duo were hardly missed as Amad Diallo’s late heroics sealed a dramatic come-from-behind victory.
For Rashford, the writing is on the wall as his time at Old Trafford has seemingly all but ended, as confirmed by his own statements. The Englishman is already contemplating his next career move with several possible hypotheses emerging.

According to Fichajes.net, Atletico Madrid are eager to bring back their youth product. The winger had started his career with the Spanish capital side, before being poached by Man United in 2020.
As the Spanish source explains, Diego Simeone is dreaming of an all-Argentine attacking trident that pits his son Giuliano alongside Garnacho and Julian Alvarez who made the switch from Man City last summer.
It remains to be seen whether the United youngster will manage to return to Amorim’s good graces in the coming weeks or remain on the sidelines. This period will be instrumental in determining the future of the Copa America winner, especially with the January transfer window looming on the horizon.
