Lamine Yamal reveals his dream signing for Barcelona

Lamine Yamal, through a recent interview with Mundo Deportivo, has doubled down on his future at the club.

The forward expressed that he is happy at the club and that contract talks would eventually take place. He further expressed his conviction to play for the club in the years to come.

Apart from talking about his future, Yamal also offered his thoughts on the ongoing referees’ issue in La Liga. But one thing that did raise a few eyebrows was when he was asked to choose between three players.

Yamal chooses Musiala over Neymar

In one section of the interview, Yamal was asked to choose the best players who are currently not at Barcelona.

The forward chose three players – Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich, Neymar and Manchester City sensation Savinho.

Interestingly, he was then asked which one of these three players he would love to sign for Barcelona.

In response, the young attacking phenom started by how the reporter wanted him to answer Neymar. But in the end, he ended up picking Musiala.

“You want me to say Neymar but no. Musiala, who has a contract,” said Yamal (h/t AS), who appears to be well aware of the fact that the German international has recently signed a contract extension at Bayern Munich.

Yamal’s statement also suggests that the Barcelona forward has immense respect for his German counterpart.

The feelings, in fact, appear to be mutual as Musiala, too, in a recent interview, had hailed Yamal for the way he plays football.

Interestingly, Barcelona have been linked with a move for Musiala. But the club seem to have abandoned their pursuit after the German signed a contract extension with Bayern Munich.
