The case of Lamine Yamal’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, has taken another turn with a suspect detained in prison after a knife attack in Mataro.
The 38-year-old was stabbed multiple times by four attackers and rushed to hospital on Wednesday night, making headlines in Catalonia. Despite the initial danger to his health, his condition stabilised and it became clear he would survive.
In a conversation with journalists from El Chiringuito, Nasraoui said that he was ” between life and death »while he was recovering in hospital.
Between life and death
Following the incident, local police confirmed the arrest of four of his alleged attackers, with the case quickly being brought before a court in Catalonia.
According to the latest update from El Diario, the Instruction Court No. 3 of Mataro placed one of the accused in prison, while the other three were released on bail.
All of the suspects have no prior criminal records, but are charged with attempted murder, with bail conditions requiring that no contact be made between the accused and Nasraoui.
