Featured on the show The Hormiguerothis Thursday evening, Lamine Yamal spoke at length about his exceptional trajectory. Already considered one of the references of world football and recently crowned champion of Spain with the Roja, the FC Barcelona star also took the opportunity to estimate his chances at the next Ballon d’Or. “I don’t think I have a chance of winning”however, the person concerned lucidly acknowledged, also evoking the comparison with a certain Lionel Messi. “I like the comparison with the best in history, Messi, but I want to be me and reaching Messi is impossible”.

Once announced at Paris Saint-Germain, the Spanish international also wanted to clarify things regarding his future. “Leave Barcelona? Never”said Lamine Yamal before admitting that he wanted to become “a Barça legend”. When asked about the subject again, the 17-year-old player did not hesitate to reaffirm his position. “Your value is 120 million according to Transfermarkt. Do you want that to be paid for you? No, because that means I will leave Barcelona. I don’t want that, I want to be a legend at Barcelona”. A very clear message that should put an end to the many rumors about him. Or not.
