Lamine Yamal, the incredible announcement

Lamine Yamal will play in the Kings League sevens football, but it is not yet known in what role.

Lamine Yamal dominated Euro 2024 and intends to reign over club Europe with FC Barcelona shortly. At the same time, it is possible that the Catalan prodigy has set himself some parallel quests. On Saturday, the Blaugrana striker revealed his participation in the Kings League, the baby created by Gerard Piqué two years ago and which led to the Kings World Cup, in which the French team Foot2Rue, piloted by the streamer AmineMaTue, participated.

It is not yet known what role Lamine Yamal will play in the organization – as a simple player or as a member of a staff – but it would be quite crazy to imagine one of the best players on the planet participating in a seven-a-side football competition with mostly amateur players.

What does Barça think?

It is still likely that FC Barcelona will not view the participation of its nugget in this competition with a very good eye. The most plausible remains an ambassadorial or coaching role, to avoid an unfortunate injury that would disrupt his already busy schedule with Barça and La Roja.

To name just a few, Iker Casillas and Sergio Agüero are presidents of their own teams, 1KFC for the former Real Madrid goalkeeper, and Kunisports for the ex-Argentine striker.

On Sunday, Spain and Lamine Yamal will be in action in League A of the Nations League, against Switzerland.
