Lance Frank To Lead Communications At CBS News, Stations And Media Ventures

Lance Frank has been promoted to the head of communications for CBS News, Stations and Media Ventures, where he will oversee strategy for the news, stations, syndication, talent and programming.

Frank will report to Wendy McMahon, president and CEO of CBS News and Stations, and Chris Ender, executive vice president of communications for CBS.

McMahon called Frank “a gifted communicator, a great strategist and trusted advisor. Just as important, he understands the power of collaboration. … Lance is the right leader at the right time to drive outreach for our division.”

Frank was promoted to executive vice president in January, and with the new position he will will “sole oversight of all external/internal communications and program publicity across our national news, local stations and first run syndication business,” Ender wrote. Christa Robinson, who had overseen communications at CBS News for the past nine years, departed the network in August.

Frank joined CBS News in 2011, and rose through the ranks in a number of roles, including for 60 Minutes.
