Landman is one of the most anticipated new TV shows on Paramount+! The series, co-created by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and based on Christian Wallace’s 2019 podcast Boomtown, follows Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris as he navigates the chaos of the oil industry in Texas, featuring stars like Jon Hamm and Demi Moore. While the show just premiered on the streamer on Sunday (November 17), there’s already a big update regarding the possibility of a Season 2. Keep reading to find out more… Landman has not yet been officially renewed for Season 2, but plans are confirmed. In an interview with The Direct, co-creator Christian Wallace confirmed plans for a potential Season 2. “As long as there are stories to tell, I would love to keep telling them,” he said. “And I think we really just skinned the surface on our first season, and that’s saying something because they cover a lot of ground. So yeah, I hope we keep telling these stories for a while.” Co-creator Taylor Sheridan has produced four hit TV shows for Paramount+, and they have all lasted for two or more seasons, including Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lioness, and 1923. Landman is also not billed as a miniseries or limited series, so there’s a high likelihood of a Season 2 renewal. Stay tuned as we wait to hear more a potential second season!
