Following weeks of speculation, Barcelona finally look set to register Dani Olmo before the end of the season.
This is thanks to an economic lever that has reportedly been activated by Barcelona, who have apparently negotiated the sale of tickets for the VIP boxes at the revamped Spotify Camp Nou.
The new deal is set to bring in an inflow of €100-120 million, which should be enough to register both Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
What’s the plan now for Barça?
A recent report from Diario SPORT has offered a clear roadmap for Barcelona as they look to not only complete the negotiations but also register Olmo and Pau Victor.
As per the report, Barcelona have struck a deal with a Qatari fund, which has already signed the agreement. All that it needs is the signature of Joan Laporta.
However, Laporta does not plan on signing the deal right away. The Barcelona president wants to wait until December 31 before signing the dotted line.
That is because Laporta wants to wait for the outcome of the lawsuit filed by Barcelona, which is expected to come on Monday.
Laporta also wants to know whether he will have the approval of La Liga before signing the contract himself.
In the last few hours, La Liga have already received all the documentation regarding the deal with the Qatari fund. The association is currently studying the prospect and will come out with a verdict soon.
Once La Liga approves the deal and the court’s verdict go against Barcelona, Laporta is expected to sign the deal, which will allow Barcelona to instantly register both Olmo and Torres.
