IMG Credit: WWEThe last one. We are closing in on the end of the year and that means it is time to start wrapping things up in the wrestling calendar. This includes WWE, which is going to be holding its last television shows of the year in the coming days. In this case though, most of them will be taped in advance, which is going to be the case for the final show of the year.

WWE has taped the December 31 edition of NXT earlier this week. This is part of WWE’s effort to allow its wrestlers and staff some more time off near the end of the year. The December 24 episode was also taped in advance. NXT will return to live episodes with the January 7 New Year’s Evil episode from Los Angeles. Here are the taping results, courtesy of Fightful:
* Kelani Jordan def. Lola Vice. Cora Jade tried to attack Vice with a kendo stick before Stephanie Vaquer made the save.
* Ethan Page def. Cedric Alexander
* Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson def. Shotzi & Gigi Dolin and Kayden Carter & Katana Chance
* Izzi Dame def. Sol Ruca
* Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe def. Andre Chase, Hank Walker & Tank Ledger
* NXT Male Superstar Of The Year segment
This could be big. Check out what this show is following:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that WWE can do to make things a bit easier on the wrestlers. There is pretty much no need to have a live event on New Year’s Eve and taping it in advance works just fine. Hopefully the show winds up working as having it taped like this isn’t going to hurt anything. Let the wrestlers have a bit more time off and it should work out well.
