First big blow for Real Sociedad. While the current sixth in La Liga prepares to challenge Paris Saint-Germain for the round of 16 of the Champions League, the Basque club will have to do without one of its executives. Injured on Saturday against Celta Vigo, Aihen Munoz, the left back of Real Sociedad, suffers from a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and will therefore be out against the capital club.
The 26-year-old Spanish defender will miss the first leg on February 14 in Paris but also the return on March 5 in San Sebastian. Aihen Munoz is expected to have surgery in the coming days and while no return date has been communicated, his season is most likely over.
