Defeated on Tuesday evening by Bayern Munich (1-0), Paris Saint-Germain further compromised its chances of direct qualification in the round of 16 of the Champions League. Indeed, according to Opta’s prediction tool, the club from the French capital, which is currently in 26th place, now has a 0% chance of finishing in the top 8. The statistician also specifies that the Red and Blue maintain a 55% chance of finishing in the top 24 and therefore qualifying for the play-offs, a sort of round of 16.

As a reminder, during these play-offs, the teams classified from 9th to 16th place will have the advantage of receiving in the return match. Brest, soundly beaten by FC Barcelona (3-0), will also have difficulty finishing in the top 8 (14% chance) but the Breton club is almost guaranteed to make the play-offs (98% chance of qualification).
