Next year, the Club World Cup will experience a completely new format. 32 teams will compete for the trophy over a month of competition. European clubs qualify thanks to their position in the UEFA rankings, which allows them to know some participants in advance. With the elimination of Leipzig last night against Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund is directly qualified.

The Bundesliga will therefore be represented by Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the United States (June 15 – July 13, 2025). Leipzig will pass for the first edition, just like the current leader, Bayer Leverkusen. Both clubs will need to collect points next year to compete in the brand new competition.
