The 2024 edition of the African Cup of Nations has some surprises in store for us. The first round was very eventful with many surprises. An important nation in African football, Ghana was eliminated in the group stage.

And who says elimination means returning to the club for the players. This is the case of André Ayew who has already returned to the Le Havre squad. The former Olympique de Marseille player was also criticized by his teammates for his premature return to France.

The HAC travels to the Lorient pitch

Having just returned from the African Cup of Nations, André Ayew is not traveling for the 19th day of Ligue 1 on the pitch of Lorient FC. The Ghanaian international could make his return to the squad during the next matchday against AS Monaco on February 4.

Le Havre are looking for points. Currently 11th in the standings, a success against Merlus this Sunday would allow them to get closer to the top of the table and move away from dangerous areas.
