“I arrived in Bilbao at 12 as a child, and today, two decades later, I have to announce that I will be leaving the club at the end of the season after 15 seasons in the first team. I am leaving after having accomplished my dream and after having brought home a trophy after 40 years of waiting”he said in particular. “Iker Muniain has informed the Club that, by his own decision, he will cease to be an Athletic player at the end of this season. The moment and way in which the captain chose to say goodbye to the team of his life represents a new example of the red and white number 10’s unconditional love for the Athletic Club. for its part, wrote the Basque club.
