Leicester City defender Wout Faes is reportedly unhappy at the club and looking for a late transfer away from the King Power Stadium this summer.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Faes has communicated his issues with Leicester bosses, making it clear that he’s not happy with how he’s currently being used in Steve Cooper’s side, nor with the club’s recruitment this summer.

The Foxes won promotion from the Championship last season but have endured a difficult summer, with previous manager Enzo Maresca leaving to take over at Chelsea, while star player Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also followed him with the move to Stamford Bridge.

It’s not been the easiest preparation for life in the Premier League, so it’s perhaps not too surprising to see that Faes is now unsettled and angling for a move away.

The 26-year-old has been a key player for Leicester so losing him would undoubtedly be a big blow, but it perhaps seems inevitable now that they’ll have to cash in and make a change in defence.

It will be interesting to see how this situation develops, and if Leicester end up doing everything they can to instead convince Faes to stay as time is running out for them to green-light a sale and sort out bringing in a replacement.
