Lena Waithe is joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy for the current 21st season. The 40-year-old actor, comedian, and filmmaker will make her first appearance in the March 13 episode of the ABC medical drama series. Keep reading to find out more… According to Deadline, Lena “will play Dr. Evynn Moore, a brilliant and savvy former student of Catherine Fox’s (Debbie Allen) who visits Grey Sloan to help her on a unique case which happens to be for her wife, played by Andrea Bordeaux.” Lena is booked to appear in two episodes this season. The show returns from its mid-season hiatus on March 6 and we have lots of other cast updates to share with you. This is a rare acting gig for Lena, who mostly appears in projects that she creates.
