Manchester United new signing Leny Yoro will attempt to prepare himself for the demands of the Premier League during pre-season.
In his first official interview with the club, the 18-year-old defender recalled how playing against Kylian Mbappe in France has helped improve his all-round game.
Yoro impressed in previous clashes against the France national team captain in Ligue1, before his summer move to Real Madrid.
United’s new centre-back also explained how taking on Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins in the Europa Conference League last year was a good challenge.
“I really like to play against of course Mbappe,” Yoro told MUTV. “It was a really big, big, big, big, deal, so yeah for me it helped me a lot to improve myself.
“It was good against Ollie Watkins, because this is a big striker here and, yeah, it was really good.”
Yoro revealed in his first MUTV interview that he has already developed a friendship with Kobbie Mainoo. They will get to know each other better when the midfielder returns for pre-season training.
“I’m really close to Kobbie Mainoo, and this will help me a lot,” Yoro explained. “He sent me a message. He’s a really good guy.”
