Leonardo DiCaprio is the latest celebrity to make a large donation to the relief efforts amid the Los Angeles fires. The 50-year-old Oscar-winning actor and climate change activist took to his social media to announce his commitment to a donation to support the current and post-fire recovery needs. In addition, Leonardo also used his platform to share direct links to the organizations that are working on the frontlines to fight the fires or provide assistance and resources. I am committing $ 1million in partnership with @rewild’s Rapid Response Program to support both urgent needs and post-fire recovery efforts,” Leo shared on his Instagram story. “Initial aid will immediately benefit the LA Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, World Central Kitchen, California Community Foundation, Pasadena Humane Society and SoCal Fire Fund – organizations providing much-needed resources to our first responders and firefighters, and the people, animals and communities who need it most.” If you missed it, several other celebrities, tech and media companies have also announced million dollar+ donations to fire relief efforts.
