After eight years at Liverpool, Joel Matip has left the Reds this summer. Now free of any contract, the former Cameroonian international (27 caps) has the field free to sign with the club he wants. Xabi Alonso’s team, the reigning Bundesliga champions, are reportedly keen to strengthen their rearguard with an experienced defender.
