Leyla Hirsch made her long-awaited return to Ring of Honor last night.
The Russian-American wrestler has not been seen in the promotion since July, when she wrestled at Death Before Dishonor 2024. Leyla Hirsch wrestled Diamante in the first-ever female Texas Death Match, winning after a giant moonsault off a ladder, putting her opponent through a table.
She had her hand raised, but Hirsch did not escape unscathed. The ROH star suffered a dislocated shoulder during the match, which kept her out of action for the past three months.
Luckily for “Legit” Leyla Hirsch fans, she has made a speedy recovery. Hirsch returned to ROH on this week’s episode, cutting a promo signaling her return to the promotion.
ROH posted this promo on Twitter, where she made her intentions to win the ROH Women’s Championship in the near future. She also spoke about her Texas Death Match victory, and injury, against Diamante in July.
“It’s been a while,” Leyla Hirsch told the camera in a backstage interview. “But thankfully now everything is good. The last two months were a bit rough though. At Death Before Dishonor, I dislocated my shoulder. And at that match, in the end, I didn’t know if I was able to get back up.”
“But I did.” Leyla Hirsch continued. “Once again, I showed everybody who I am. And in the first-ever female Texas Death Match, I didn’t just participate in it. I won the match. So going forward, I’m gonna regain all the momentum that I had, and once and for all become champion here in Ring of Honor.”
Leyla Hirsch’s sight is clearly set on the ROH Women’s Champion. Whether that be Athena or Billie Starkz, she will likely be next in line for the title shot in Ring of Honor.
