Liam Payne spent the final years of his life in crisis, a source who knew the former One Direction singer tells Page Six exclusively.
“Liam had been cycling through periods of ruinous behavior for a long time,” our insider shares.

The cause of death was not immediately released, but police said the “Strip That Down” singer may have been “under the influence of drugs or alcohol” before throwing himself off the balcony of his room.
Reps for Payne did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
