Spanish police arrested four individuals following a campaign carried out on social networks against Vinícius Júnior, just before the derby between Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid on September 29. According to Relevothese 4 people – supporters of Colchoneros – encouraged fans to go to the Civitas Metropolitano, masked, to utter racist insults towards the Brazilian international.

After three complaints from the Spanish league, an investigation opened on October 1. The agents finally managed to identify the authors of the publications denounced by La Liga. The four men were then arrested between October 14 and 15, for inciting hatred. The police indicated that the investigation is continuing to identify other people potentially involved in this hate campaign against the footballer.
