Back in La Liga, Atletico de Madrid traveled to Granada for the 21st day of La Liga. With the aim of staying in the race with Real, Barça and Girona and securing a place in the Champions League. But the trip to the penultimate side of the Spanish Championship was more complicated than expected, since the Colchoneros were unable to get ahead of the opposing team.

We had to wait until the second half to see Atlético wake up, and inevitably, it had to come from the inevitable Griezmann-Morata duo. The Frenchman released a precise cross onto the head of Morata, who crossed his head to open the scoring (1-0, 56th). Madrid then pushed to make the break, but Griezmann found the post (87th). In the end, Simeone’s men won well and came back to within three points of Barça. On the other hand, Granada sinks and remains five points behind the first relegation, Sevilla FC.
