This Wednesday, Atlético de Madrid enjoyed a major success in Paris in the Champions League thanks to a last-second goal from Angel Correa (2-1). This Sunday, the Colchoneros were back in La Liga and traveled to Mallorca. At the end of a rather moribund first period, Oblak saved the Madrid club following a dangerous header from Muriqi (42nd).

Returning from the locker room, the capital club put more enthusiasm into its game and Julian Alvarez gave his team the advantage at the hour mark on Madrid’s only shot and after superb work from Giuliano Simeone (0 -1, 61st). And after a new feat from Jan Oblak (86th), Atlético went for a victory full of realism which allows them to climb onto the podium. For its part, Mallorca remains 8th.
