La Liga officially resumed its rights this Thursday with a duel Bilbao – Getafe in the opening match. Despite its status as a “team to follow”, the Basque club was not able to get the upper hand on the Madrid team (1-1.)

In the first half, Oihan Sancet had opened the scoring (27th, 1-0), but the Azulones finally relied on their Nigerian recruit, Chrisantus Uche (21 years old), to equalize after the break (64th). Despite the entry into play of Nico Williams in the second half, Bilbao must be satisfied with a draw. Next meeting: tonight, at 9:30 p.m., between Betis and last season’s sensation, Girona.
