After 12 consecutive matches without losing, Real Sociedad has rediscovered the scent of defeat. Facing their biggest Basque rival, Bilbao, Imanol Alguacil’s players suffered the law of realism this Saturday (2-1). Of its three shots on target in the match, Bilbao actually found the net twice thanks to Alex Berenguer (30th, 42nd).

At the end of the match, Mikel Oyarzabal’s goal (87th) was not enough to hope to return to San Sebastian with at least a point. With this defeat, the first away since October 8, Real Sociedad is in 6th position. Bilbao continues its rise (13 matches in a row without defeat) and finds itself in 3rd place.
