Continuation of the 2nd day of La Liga this Sunday evening. Real Betis welcomed the Alavés club to their Benito Villamarín stadium. Nabil Fekir was a starter as was Youssouf Sabaly in Manuel Pellegrini’s eleven. Despite a large domination of the Andalusians who shot on goal nearly fifteen times, the locals never managed to find the back of the net. Deportivo Alavés had taken out solid barbed wire to pocket a point: something that the Babazorros succeeded in doing since the final score was indeed void of goals (0-0). The start of the season for the Verdiblancos is a little complicated with two points taken in two games. Alavés is 18th.

In the other match that started a few minutes earlier, Las Palmas travelled to the suburbs of Madrid to face the promoted Leganés, on the pitch of the municipal stadium of Butarque. During a game dominated by the locals, Juan Cruz opened the scoring (71st), before Enric Franquesa doubled the lead a few minutes later (85th). Sandro Ramírez’s reduction of the score (90th + 3) did not change the outcome of the match and Jeff Luhnow’s players locked up a first victory of their season (2-1). With its three points, Leganés climbs to 4th position, while Las Palmas remains in 14th place.
